Welcome to my life!10月7日 Babies!Really what could be better than 2 friends from the same circle, both pregnant and end up both having baby girls on the very same day! :) Not much can top that in my eyes!
Welcome to the world Alyssa Joy Bondy and Ella Brooke Lusignan!
Jenn :) 10月2日 Death Chair and Joffrey LupulSo today Joffrey Lupul of the Edmonton Oilers came to the school where I teach to read to everyone as part of read-in week. The first thing the students say when we get into the gym is 'Oh no Miss. Bennett, he's going to be sitting in the death chair!" Sure enough, there it was at the front of the gym the chair I would do anything to get rid of this year (and did). For the entire last school year anytime I had to sit on it I also needed to rest my feet on a students desk to keep my balance! lol! But Joffrey must have longer legs cause he looked pretty comfy in it!! After he left I managed to hop back into my old 'death chair' as the students call it for a picture in hopes of getting some Joffrey germs on myself! LOL! What can I say, he's a cutie. Maybe the death chair will have to come back to Room 6....
Have a great day!
Jenn :) 7月16日 Checkerboard GuyHey all!
I rarely post blogs on here but I thought since the Edmonton Street Performers Festival just wrapped up I would give a quick plug for a certain favorite Street Performer of mine - The Checkerboard Guy (David Aiken). If you ever get the chance to check out his show if it comes to your City/Town, DO IT! He's a phenomenal performer, hilarious entertainer and all around SUPER great guy! I've been a fan since I was about 16 and still can't get enough of watching his performances when he comes to town!!
'tis all for now!
Take care,
Jenn :) 4月14日 De-cluttering is hard work!! ;)Hey all!
Well what better way to spend the long-weekend than to start getting rid of all of the crap I've managed to collect over the years that just isn't useful anymore! In my state of cleaning I have found at least 300 Happy Meal toys, tons of McDonald's mugs (when I move out my place will definitely have the decorating touch a la McDonald's!), a New Kids on the Block t-shirt, a $5 gift certificate for A&B Sound which seriously has to be from about 1995 (i'm so using it!), and an official Oilers player guide from the 1995-1996 season. But I also found many an item that has struck a special memory with me! Cards from people that are no longer in my life for one reason or another but also cards from years ago from people who are still so near and dear to my heart. I have gotten all sappy and reminiscent reading them and found one that shares a special tribute about friends. It's from a friend no longer in my life but still close to my heart nonetheless. Thought I'd share with all of my friends! ;)
Friends are the greatest.
Friends are heroes.
Friends can pull you out of a dumperday and make you laugh till your cheeks hurt!
Friends are heart-to-hearts and 'remember when' stories.
Friends are comfy - like cotton p.j.s.
Friends celebrate the moments.
Friends hug the little child in you.
Friends weep big tears for you.
Friends believe in you deep.
Friends are legends.
Friends are the rarest gems in all the world especially ones that sparkle inside and out!
3月5日 Talking About Random Insanity...My car was toilet papered and had snow piled onto it last night?? (See pictures). I only have one suspect in this case but really, it's not special occasion or anything. It really is a random act of insanity!
Off to clean my car,
Jenn 3月4日 Comments on our Road Trip!Hey all!
Meeting Paul Brandt last night at an auction in Calgary was great (as meeting him always is) but he said one thing to me that made the entire night!! He said "I bet you're great at teaching!" May not sound like much but coming from my 'idol' as many of you would say, those words just meant the world! Hee hee..... The trip was filled with many moments of random insanity! We realized on our drive home that Highway 2 has pretty much got to be the most unexciting drive EVER! We had decided to stop at any opportunity to take random photos of interesting things along the highway! Other than taking our picture with a couple of blow-up giant cowboys, some palm trees and a grand adventure to sit in a TIPI (including climbing through a barbed wire fence, stopping at the curbside of the road, and running through 100 feet of shin deep snow) there really wasn't anything to see!! My theory is that we need to invest in some more of the 'World's Largest' things along that highway to liven it up some!! Any suggestions? Maybe we could brainstorm some and send our ideas in to the province?? Hee hee....
All in all a great weekend with my two dearest road trip friends!! Love you both muchly!
Have a great week!
Jenn
